Spambots Trap page

(Notice for Spambots)

GOT YOU!

You have accessed a forbidden folder, with no bona-fide justification, and will be banned from this site as soon as I've seen the relevant entry in my daily web stats.

If you are an ordinary visitor who has
inadvertently fallen into my spambot trap...

It is extremely difficult for anyone to click on one of my hidden spambot trap links to this page; I've repeatedly tried to do this myself, knowing exactly where the traps were, and yet I still couldn't. So it is a tremendous fluke that you've got caught - unless you yourself were using a robot, with the best of intentions of course, perhaps to download the whole site.

You MUST e-mail me today or tomorrow to tell me what's happened. I say that with no ill will, but so that I could then check through the appropriate logfile to verify that your surfing behaviour was not that of a spambot (they usually give themselves away by doing certain things), and then would remove any block that I'd put on your host address. Thank you for your forbearance, and my apologies for the trouble you're being put to. To e-mail me, please add error-gotyou@ to the domain name in my website address shown above.

If you were using a robot, simply to download the whole site for offline viewing, then that is okay just for the pages (mass downloading of my MP3s and zip files is forbidden for a very practical reason), but you still need to let me know that you've accessed this page, so that you don't get barred from my site. If you do use a robot, you need to ensure that it reads and respects the ROBOTS.TXT file on my website. It would then not catch you in the spambots trap. On the other hand it would then miss some of my pages, which are protected from all well-behaved robots. For this reason, if you really want all my pages offline you would have to access and download at least some of the pages manually.
